1. Anthony Hopkins 2. Chadwick Boseman 3. Riz Ahmed 4. Steven Yeun 5. Gary Oldman
Side note, I love that Boseman, Hopkins and Ahmed were more or less the only locks in the category this year, since they’re all solid 5’s for just about everyone.
I'm just gonna go ahead and take pride on having gotten the previous prediction wrong from the very beginning and never changing it. I go down with my ship.
Also, to the commenter formerly known as Anonymous: Nice to meet you, Glenn.
Also also, may I suggest to write "FINAL PREDICTION" in case anyone wants to switch or make a small change after the first review? I think that could help out Louis figure out who won the thing at the end.
Louis, have decided on my first request and it's Ben Whishaw in Bright Star (2009 Lead Actor). Was initially going with Perfume where he's amazing but I'm taking Luke's word that he's a lock for 2006 Lead Actor.
Louis: It's understandable if you haven't finished it due to being busy with the reviews, but could I get your brief thoughts on Erased in case you have.
Louis: If the requests for any particular lineup goes up to 10 and an 11th is made, will that request be saved for after the bonus rounds. For instance say if Ben Foster in The Messenger isn't one of the first 10 for 2009 though I think you might be reviewing him at some point since you mentioned previously that he was a possible upgraded performance.
Will not be actively saving any extra reviews, whatever is requested will be covered, though I may put a limit on categories, so if in a given year there is already 10 in lead, there can be no further requests for that year.

Four of my favourite performances of the last year and Oldman!
1. Hopkins
2. Ahmed
3. Boseman
4. Yeun
5. Oldman (who would still be a 4 for me)
And once again can I say just how satisfying it is to say, Oscar nominee Riz Ahmed, and Oscar nominee Steven Yeun.
Emi:
Actually I'm going to ask that if anyone changes predictions in the same post, that they delete their earlier predictions.
And how bittersweet it will be to say Oscar winner Chadwick Boseman.
Uhhhh

Outside knowing who’ll be first and last, the middle three could be in any order. I’m just rolling the die with no opinions or intuition as factors.
Have to agree with Robert that ranking 2nd to 4th will be tricky in this lineup.

Louis: Amalric and MacLachlan are yet to be listed on the winning requests page.
And if Ahmed is incredibly strong as he's most likely the first review then I'm putting him in 2nd.

Maybe we should just check the winning requests before we make one to make sure we’re not overpacking a lineup?
Michael: I'm fine if Louis puts in a cut off point before the year comes along then removed once finished so extra requests can be made.
Yeah I try to avoid recommending performances for years that are already packed to the brim.
Michael: And yeah, I'm still pissed from making the mistake of picking Sam Claflin in The Riot Club.
