Haven’t seen Cronyn or Mukherjee, and haven’t seen Tomlinson’s performance in over a decade. Plummer is fantastic in Fall of the Roman Empire, Mason has one scene where he’s brilliant but other than that he’s not given much.
Matt: I want to say so, but remember, The Shape of Water wasn't even nominated (I don't think even shortlisted) a few years back, so we'll have to see.
If you mean personal lineups though, then personally yes, can't see anything topping it.
Having watched Mary Poppins more often than the human race has a numerical system for, not having seen The Fall of the Roman Empire in what? 7 years or something, and not having seen the other two at all
Makeup *should* be a lock for a win, also it would have to be an amazing year in both categories for it to not fit into a production design and costumes top 5 in my book.

I’m like 90% sure on Tomlinson getting an upgrade. He’s the film’s secret weapon.

Louis, my request is James Mason in Murder By Decree.
I'll do predictions once I've seen all these and given Tomlinson a rewatch.
Also, my request from my correct predictions for 1964 Lead is Sam Lee in Made in Hong Kong (1997 Lead Actor). Looking forward to that year overall.

I kinda loved The Green Knight. This thing was made for me.
Patel-5
Vikander-4
Edgerton-3.5
Choudhury-3
Harris-4
Keoghan-4
Dickie-3
Ineson-4
Kellyman-3.5
Also, this is the same Dev Patel from Slumdog Millionaire, right? Cause I kinda can't believe that.
Also, that's an *immediate* win for Best Makeup, right?

Calvin: Good point. For me personally though, I wouldn't be surprised if by year's end this movie dominate all my tech wins.

Louis: Is Smoktunovsky your third or second favourite portrayal of Hamlet.
Marcus: He's at least #2.

Number 2 behind Olivier for me.
