5. Mark Rylance in Bones and All - Rylance gives a truly bizarre performance that worked for me even though I didn't love it.
Best Scene: Sully's second appearance.
4. Nicholas Hoult in The Menu - Hoult gives a wholly hilarious performance that is properly out of line with much of what is going on with the film but wholly into the idea of food.
Best Scene: "Tyler's Bullshit"
3. Eddie Redmayne in The Good Nurse - Redmayne gives his career best performance by creating a calmly disturbing portrait of a killer.
Best Scene: No one stopped me.
2. Albrecht Schuch in All Quiet on the Western Front - Schuch gives a wonderful portrayal filled with warmth and heartbreak as a soldier who has found a way to exist within a terrible position.
Best Scene: A letter from home.
1. Paul Dano in The Fabelmans - Good predictions Tahmeed, Robert, Tim Razor and RatedRStar, Dano gives his career best performance, giving such a quiet yet deeply moving portrayal of a loving father who nonetheless struggles with his family.
Best Scene: The photo.

Thoughts?
Hell of a Top 5 right there. And as much as I loved Dano I find it hard to pick any but Quan here too. Hoping he keeps sweeping through the rest of the season.

Christopher Abbot - On The Count of Three
Louis: Since you've mentioned him as the MVP of the cast, what would be your rating for Henry Winkler in Black Adam?
Ytrewq:
I'll pass, I said MVP in jest, because he literally facetimes his performance in, and I imagine was a very easy gig for him. He's fine though.
I see you agree with me on Xavier Samuel. He and Evans were like if Ryan Murphy-bred Demon Twinks escaped the set of American Horror Story. I hate to give the Razzies credence, but that was a good call on their part.
Louis: Your top 5 Paul Dano performances?
Louis: Top 10 Dano moments.
Park Hae-il - Decision to Leave
Christopher Abbott - On the Count of Three
Jeremy Pope - The Inspection
Timothee Chalamet - Bones and All
Also could you give your thoughts on Hary Shum Jr. in EEAAO? Happy to see you include him on the list, I thought he was great in his little brief bits.
Louis: I think my predictions were also deleted but I can't really remember if I won though.
Oh yeah, almost forgot, Hugh Jackman in The S-
Nah, I won't even joke about that one. Yikes.

Calvin:
Although I don't even love every bit he's involved with, I did like his comedic timing and reactions consistently even within those bits, such as his moment of readying himself and eyeing what he needs to do to leap to the power.
Tony:
A hilarious bit in the scheme of it with how pathetic it all is, but also quite effectively chilling at the same time with how unnerving he still is regardless.
Robert:
4.5, I didn't love the film (thought it was okay), but I liked her a great deal.
