I've seen all these performances many times--it was a great year for acting. I'll have to go with Sexy Rexy(as he was called in those days)--a combination of singing(even though he talks his songs, he does it superbly) and acting-he creates a true English professor with much more than what was in the script.
I agree, this was an amazing year. I can't imagine anyone else in this role but Rex Harrison. Then again, the other performances were all perfect as well. Fritz, I don't envy you - this is a tough year to pick just one winner. I don't think I could do it!

I really like Anthony Quinn's performance....I think he'd be my pick.
Interesting year to me! But I've only seen Harrison.
I really love Rex! Can't wait to see what you think of him!
Joe Burns: You really should see the other nominees Joe. The films are great.
Fritz: Is he your pick?
I have only seen Harrison and Sellers. Harrison didn't impress me, but he was so fun to watch.
Anyway, I'm predicting it's gonna be either Sellers or O' Toole.
