Hackman and Nicholson will be your top two, though I'm not so sure about the order. McGregor will bring up the rear. Not sure between Thornton and Gosling.
1. Gene Hackman 2. Jack Nicholson 3. Billy Bob Thornton 4. Ryan Gosling 5. Ewan McGregor
I think McGregor will finish last however even though he was good in a bad film , Nicholson will most likely be great (havnt seen it), I thought Gosling was creepy and chilling in his film, Billy Bob created a memorable barber in his predictable but decent film lol.
ive just recently the seen the film Magic (1978) with Anthony Hopkins, really creepy horror film, and OMFG lol the film got golden globe and bafta nominations for Hopkins =D wow im pleasantly surprised by finding that out.
I used to go with Crowe and Connelly but time has taught me that the in the bedroom cast was phenomenal and no i don't think Denzel deserved the osxcar for this one,i preferred Billy Bob in m/ball.
Weirdly, McGregor is my favorite of this bunch, and I didn't even like Moulin Rouge. I guess his passion and sincerity won me over in a film that was anything but sincere. That, and to quote Bane, "What a lovely, lovely voice".

Please tell me you'll at least have Jyllenhaal in the ranking. Anyway, my guess:
1. Hackman
2. Thorton
3. Gosling
4. Nicholson
5. McGregor

Gyllenhaal will be in the overall ranking.
That doesn't sound hopeful for his ranking.
I think Hackman will get a very easy win.
1- Hackman
2- Thorton
3- Gosling
4- Nicholson
5- McGregor
