My guess: 1. Laurence Olivier (as always did a wonderful job) 2. Charles Laughton (likewise wonderful) 3. Eli Wallach (by far the best part of an otherwise poorly written and underacted movie, though the score is blissful) 4. Fred MacMurray (very good, but I just think this is where you'll rank him) 5. Gene Kelly (pretty good, showing off his acting chops alone, but just not as good as everybody else)
I haven't seen The Magnificent Seven, but I try: 1) Olivier (my winner) 2) wallach 3) laughton 4) kelly (seen him yesterday, and i find him more funny than macmurray) 5) macmurray
