Best Supporting Actor 2025: Results

5. Delroy Lindo in Sinners - Lindo makes the most of his screentime to offer both a humorous and haunting depiction of a musician whose seen much, probably too much.

Best Scene: Car ride.
4. Benicio del Toro in One Battle After Another - del Toro delivers such an endearing performance that manages to be funny, but also calming in such an essential way for the film.

Best Scene: The secret to freedom.
3. Jacob Elordi in Frankenstein - Elordi delivers a nuanced and deeply moving portrayal of the creature that is entirely his own.

Best Scene: Farewell to the old man.
2. Sean Penn in One Battle After Another - Penn gives a consistently hilarious excoriation of the "mighty military type".

Best Scene: Testing scene.
1. Stellan Skarsgård in Sentimental Value - Good predictions Tahmeed, Shaggy, Kevin, & Justin. The part offers Skarsgård a showcase of his talents and he does not waste it in a performance that excels in bringing across the best parts of his presence while also dynamically realizing the nuance of his character's emotional struggle. Although I should say I struggled to set the top three, as I love all of them, but in so different ways that it wasn't all that easy for me to separate them.

Best Scene: Rachel turning down the part.

Was expecting Elordi at 2, but I was close.

Wow, my first ever prediction and I won. I’m proud of myself

Should mention, long time lurker, first time predictor for this blog, not sure how the requesting works but my winning request is Keith David for Dead Presidents. If I’m okay to make one since I guessed correctly. If not it’s all good
