Louis: your rating and thoughts on Pfeiffer in Married to the Mob? I know you have finished with 1988 but are you going to see Un Affaire de Femmes and Camille Claudel anytime soon? I haven't seen the latter but i heard a lot of praise for Adjani. While Huppert in Un Affaire de Femmes is an easy 5 for me.
So turns out the latest QT film is focusing not on Charles Manson but rather the year 1969, which also happens to have been a really cynical year in film. I'd actually love it if he chose to devote time to recreating some of those films/behind the scenes on those films onscreen.
Effective bit of purposefully grotesque menace in every regard right down to the way he chews his food, and speaks his lines sloshing through his food. Obviously a pretty limited role but he does make enough of an impression in that very short amount of screentime.
Calvin:
I'm glad to hear that he's apparently going for a broader perspective around the period itself, which could potentially be something special if he pulls it off. Either way it sounds like he's challenging himself, which is a good thing. There is definitely a lot to be explored in that year where half of the films ended with the brutal deaths of the main characters.

From what I've seen, Ahmed is great, Sheen is good, and Affleck is solid.

Hoping the conflict between WB and Miller doesn't result in no more Mad Max.

Louis: I'd suggest watching Easy A, it's Emma Stone's breakout role. She's my #2 in Lead Actress for 2010.

Tahmeed: Emma Stone really elevates that movie, because I don't think it has much going for it outside her performance.
I agree with 94dfk1 about Easy A. I thought it was an okay movie elevated by a really strong performance by Stone. She would be a 4.5 for me.
Stone is my win for Easy A, for whatever that’s worth.

Omar:
I'll try to do so sometime soon.
Tahmeed:
Will do.
