Walter Huston in Dodsworth

William Powell in My Man Godfrey

Spencer Tracy in San Francisco 

Paul Muni in The Story of Louis Pasteur

Gary Cooper in Mr. Deeds Goes to Town

Oh, I'm really looking forward to that. I have only seen Powell so far but I thought he was better in The Great Ziegfeld. I'm interested in your thoughts about Tracy since I have heard he was only in the movie for 15 minutes or so.

I think Tracy was on screen for about 25 minutes, but it's been awhile since I saw that.

My pick is Walter Huston for Dodsworth, which would be my choice for Best Picture as well.

Interesting guess Joe. I am not really sure at all who will be my pick this time, until I reexamine the performances. The other years I certainly had an inkling beforehand.
