Im gona go with Cagney over Price, I think Cagney is great, but a very limited actor aside from this performance, only one I havnt seen is Shimura, Howard is good bit slightly overshadowed by um, someone else =D, Mifune is great in a normal average human role.

I wonder, what is everybodys favorite Toshiro Mifune performance, my favorite is probably in Yojimbo, but I love all his work, I might watch The Idiot, is it any good Louis =).

I particularly liked him in High and Low, but no one else seems to have seen that one. Remember him for 1963 Best Actor.

I would like to see it, I will mark him down on my nerdy spreadsheet lol, my 1963 list looks like this now

Sean Connery - From Russia With Love
Tom Courtenay - Billy Liar
Marcello Mastroianni 8 1/2
Antal Pager - The Drama Of The Lark
Toshiro Mifune - High and Low
Steve McQueen - The Great Escape

RatedRStar: The Idiot definitely has plenty of quality to it since it is an Akira Kurosawa film. The film though is somewhat disjointed since the only surviving cut is one that was forced upon Kurosawa.
