Once again, I'm just gonna take a shot in the dark here. I have a feeling Walken will take the overall, but I've been wrong before.

Are you still gonna see Brendan Gleeson in 28 Days Later cause I really think you will like it and him in it, cause he is basically the beating heart of the film that has all the most heartbreaking moments and that's Gleeson doing what he does best.

Because im absolutely stunned that Bernard Hill was chosen lol.

RatedRStar: I'll definitely be watching 28 Days Later for Gleeson and Murphy. I was very close to choosing Gleeson, but I decided to not be selfish and heed to popular demand instead.

Speaking of Brendan Gleeson, will you be reviewing him for Best Actor 1998 for The General? I've heard he's quite good in that.

It seems very likely.

I don't believe in the mo cap nominations otherwise you may as well nominate voice work,it belongs in it's own categery, that's just my opinion though, gere is not supporting but lead globes and sag thought so,why change it and i would have put dillane in the hours in there over serkis.

Dennis Quaid, and then everyone else.

mrripley: I do technically nominate vocal performances too, even though only one has made my top ten so far. I don't feel they should be excluded, and put in a separate category as they are just a far more limited performance technically speaking.

As for Gere I will admit he's on the border, but he doesn't have any scenes from his perspective and when he does not have one of his numbers he is almost viewed at a distance.

As far as the whole motion capture issue, I don't think counting mo-cap performances is the same thing as counting regular voice over work, because Serkis's voice wasn't the only part of him that was put into that performance. Gollum's movements and facial expressions were also created by Serkis, all the CGI really did was change his physical appearance.

Andy Serkis is as worthy pf praise as an actor as someone like Lon Chaney was. It's essentially just advanced makeup. The performance is all him.
