I Like this line up a lot Louis =D, I should have the advantage this time surely of getting it right, I am the only one that has seen both Werner and Mason. The tricky part is who will finish higher out of Hemmings and Werner, since both are directors films to the max.

1)Eli Wallach
2)Tatsuya Nakadai
3)James Mason
4)David Hemmings
5)Oskar Werner

I honestly have no idea, especially on the last two.

2. Tatsuya Nakadai
3. James Mason
4. Oskar Werner
5. David Hemmings

I've only seen "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly" and "Blow-Up"...

Wallach is my nomination in supporting category (it's probably more correct put him in Lead) and 2nd choice after Matthau.

I like Blow-Up... but I hated Hemmings character/performance

I fear I might be the only one here who didn't like Blow-Up.

im gonna change my prediction slightly purely because Oskar Werner is usually a better actor than David Hemmings.

1)Eli Wallach
2)Tatsuya Nakadai
3)James Mason
4)Oskar Werner
5)David Hemmings

Oskar Werner and David Hemmings kinda look more like band members from the 80s than actors lol.

Fahrenheit 451 is basically like watching an old episode of Doctor Who.

Blow Up is really strange, since it captures 1960s Britain perfectly, but then has a silly tacked on murder mystery plot chucked in for no reason.

I sort of love Blowup and Hemmings's performance. He was an excellent asshole.

Wallach is a great performance - althoguh ostensibly supporting he easily has the most lines in the film (rather like Christoph Waltz in Django)

I say Wallach is lead (I have him there). Whenever I watch it I only ever feel like Van Cleef is supporting.

Louis did you ever see The Guns Of Navarone?

Louis Morgan said...

RatedRStar: Yes I think you could probably surmise that about my feelings toward Nakadai after all I did give him my win in the extremely competitive 1980 leading race.

Anonymous: Yes I've seen The Guns of Navarone.

did you like the film or?

Louis Morgan said...

I thought it was a enjoyable and fun adventure style war film although because of that I did feel the anti-war elements of the film seemed out of place and a bit forced.

Ok I've now seen all of these films except for The Deadly Affair, and I think I'm gonna be a little bit of a maverick here...

1. Tatsuya Nakadai
2. Eli Wallach
3. James Mason
4. Oskar Werner
5. David Hemmings

I don't think any of them can take down Burton though.
