haha lol =D are you not a fan of Abbott and Costello Louis XD.

As for 49 I have no choice but to vote Rains since im guessing it was him you liked lol, ive put some others as well if many people cant think of any but the obvious 2(Guinness and Welles).

Claude Rains - The Passionate Friends
Orson Welles - The Third Man
Alec Guinness - Kind Hearts And Coronets
Edmond O Brien - White Heat
Jose Ferrer - Whirlpool
Kirk Douglas - A Letter To Three Wives
Ronald Howard - The Queen Of Hearts

also The Bicycle Thieves is 1948 not 1949 for anyone that will suggest it again like before XD .

Interesting overall rankings. I didn't expect to see Joseph Cotten so far down. As for recommendations:
Orson Welles in The Third Man
Alec Guinness in Kind Hearts and Coronets
Kirk Douglas in A Letter to Three Wives
Claude Rains in The Passionate Friends
Paul Douglas in A Letter to Three Wives

that meant to say Ronald Howard in The Queen Of Spades lol ..Facepalm XD.

I also think the reason Cotten is fairly low down is because The Third Man feels like a directors film, rather than an actors film (except Welles who steals every scene).

Actually I don't feel Cotton is that low as I quite liked him, Montgomery Clift, and John Wayne (who is much better here than in his Oscar nominated performance).

Cool, I won. After you review my previous request for the year 1994, could you review 1999 Lead, particularly Brad iitt and/or Edward Norton in FIght Club?

Fair enough, I guess I spoke before really going through and realizing that he's probably a 4-star performance for you.

Also, I'm going to add performances for 1949 Supporting:
Edmond O'Brien in White Heat
Takashi Shimura in The Quiet Duel

Would you be ok to do 2001 next? Id love to see your reviews on Billy Bob Thornton in The Man Who Wasnt There and Gene Hackman in The Royal Tenenbaums

I'll try to get 2001 and those two performances will be included. I just don't want to fill up the 00 so quickly.

For 2001, may I suggest Jake Gyllenhaal in Donnie Darko?

I know you really tend not to like him, but another performance sometimes considered deserving for this year is Spencer Tracy in Adam's Rib.
