There are so many you could've picked but didn't, but whatever: 1. Jean-Louis Trintignant 2. Denis Lavant 3. Jack Black 4. Matthew McConaughey 5. Liam Neeson
Ugh, The Grey. Such a boring, overrated film. Sad to not see Lerman not included, but I get that there are a lot of interesting perfs to choose from. I've seen Black and McConaughey and both are good not great. Neeson was blah.
No love for Tom Holland? I thought he was the most integral and best part of The Impossible. It reminded me of last year how Hunter McCracken outshone both his adult A-list co-stars in The Tree of Life.
To quickly explain Hawkes. I wanted to spread the wealth a little bit since I have already reviewed him once for an alternate year. Also I honestly did not feel like watching his film again as I really did not much care for it. I did think he was really good though.
As for the rest I have to choose five, and I'm happy to review these five.
im glad Hawkes is not on, I always like to see diverse choices so that it makes guessing the 5 positions a little harder, because if Hawkes was on this list to make it 6th I doubt he would have beaten Jean Louis and Lavant.

Whatever the case, you need to watch End of Watch before you make your final rankings.

Superb lineup. I haven't seen The Grey yet, but I've seen the other four films, so I'll hazard a guess right now:

Not knowing your precise tastes, I might swap 1 and 2. Otherwise, I'll leave it as is.
