Best Actor 1956

And The Nominees Were:

Rock Hudson in Giant

James Dean in Giant

Yul Brynner in The King and I

Kirk Douglas in Lust For Life

Laurence Olivier in Richard III

So who do you pick, and predict? The ranch owner turned oil man, the ranch hand turned oil man, the king who sings, the artist who screams, or the king who schemes.

Douglas or Oliver will probably win, but we will see..

Pretty easy choice for me - Kirk Douglas.

Douglas should win, he was great. Hudson is very good as usual, Dean is overacting as usual, Brynner is... and I haven't seen Olivier, but I'm NOT a fan of his.

1)Douglas
2)Olivier
3)Dean

The only things I know about this year are...Brenner hardly acts, Hudson proves his limited range, and Dean should of been placed in Supporting.

What's the deal with Jimmy Dean anyway? I get his iconic status, but his acting ability is lost on me.
