Welles or Guinness, but I suspect you'll enjoy Rains a lot because he's always brilliant (I still haven't seen this film so I don't have an opinion on his performance yet).

The Passionate Friends is a good film I think, its not fresh or original, a romantic love triangle essentially but its well acted and quite short, so it doesnt overstay its welcome =D.
