It should be between Dean Stockwell and Alec Guinness. I hope Stockwell wins; he's my winner that year.

Kline is amazing! But I haven't seen any of the others, so I'm not even going to attempt a prediction.

Alan Rickman should have been nominated for Die Hard

I haven't seen Guinness and Landau, but from the other three I would pick Phoenix.

Isn't Little Dorrit a 4 hour long film? Sigh. I don't think I'd have the patience to watch it. Good luck!

I liked Kline's character and I guess I'm glad he won the Oscar, rare for a comedy performance. Stockwell was also comedic but more supporting I'd say than Kline who was almost a lead.

Actually Little Dorrit is over six hours long.

Isn't it actually like a tv movie? I don't know, I saw the whole thing online.

I was shown in theaters first or else Guinness could not have been nominated. It was shown both in two part form, and apparently the whole over six hour form as well.

oh, well. That must have been something to sit through. But, for me, because of Guinness, I manage it. In stages. :)
