I LOVE this year. My pick is Lemmon as I said he gave his best performace, which made me a devoted fan of his. Peck is the second for me, O'Toole is the third (I think he's a bit overrated), Mastroianni is the fourth (he's hilarious) and Lancaster is the fifth (but he's excellent too).

My prediction:
1) O'Toole
2) Peck
3) Lemmon
4) Mastroianni
5) Lancaster

O'Toole will win most likely, but this an interesting year!

Yay for picking this great year. I guess you pick will be O'Toole but maybe Peck...

I have only seen Peck and O Toole but both gave all-time great performances. I see this as a fight between the two.

Or maybe Lemmon or Mastroianni. Not Lancaster.

Gosh, I've missed alot in the past week or so lol.

But, anyways, my pick would be between Jack Lemmon and Peter O'Toole.

For some reason, Peck's performance seems to underwhelm me as time goes by. It's solid and confident, sure, but my excitement for it has dropped.

Maybe its because Philip Alford gave the best performance in the film.

Peck was good, maybe even very good. But, O'Toole was excellent, and Lemmon gave a performance for the ages.

Often, the best acting performance is rewarded with the 'honor' of the nomination alone.
