I'll save Borgnine and Ryan for the moment.

Oates and Johnson - 3(Both are good in their more limited roles in perhaps represented the earlier days of the bunch as the two clearly still are having the most fun in their rough lifestyle)

O'Brien - 3.5(I have to say the first time I watched the film I did not recognize him in the least and I think he does a particularly good job of becoming his scraggy old man. I rather like his performance as he's enjoyable uncouth in everything about him, though O'Brien has a certain heart that makes him rather endearing)

Sanchez - 3(He has quite a challenge himself since his actions are consistently despicable, and technically in the end he very much gets what's coming to him. Nevertheless he does a good job in creating the reason for his behavior through the emotional volatility of his portrayal)

Hankin - 3.5(Hankin is really quite good in portraying the most sympathetic of the convicts in that film. He's a likable sidekick of sorts and has some rather moving moments throughout his performance particularly his breakdown right before the escape)

Dooley - 3.5(He's mostly one note though enjoyable so in portraying the constant one set mind of his father. When his character does show some depth though Dooley is more than up to the task and ends giving a rather heartfelt performance in the end. I'm surprised with the Breaking Away love he was unable to get in.)

Barrie - 3.5(She matches Dooley's performance rather nicely as she also shows the mother stay on a certain note of the pleasant mother and wife though while subtly conveying her actual feelings rather well)

Christopher - 4(Unlike his "These Pretzels are Making Me Thirsty" performance in Chariots of Fire he's rather good here. Christopher does well here in at first giving the over enthusiastic teenager performance of the period as he goes through life rather indulgently. He's endearing though sort of annoying. What I like though is after getting hit with reality he changes his performance quite well to a humbled kid, and really is rather moving in showing how he has to deal with possible failure)

Haley - 3.5(It's rather surprising that he faded the way he did because he's rather good here. Haley brings a natural humor to the part and does very well in his slightly dramatic scenes with his girlfriend or when he takes over the bike race)

Quaid - 3(Quaid might do a little over accentuation of some of his deliveries but he does a good job in creating essentially the wannabe tough guy)

Stern - 2.5(He's fine I just felt he just had a lot less to work with)

1. Stalag 17
2. The Wild Bunch
3. The Bridge on the River Kwai
4. Sunset Boulevard
5. Chappie was an awesome protagonist and Copley just nails the role. And I thought Die Antwood were actually pretty good as well. Only complaint was the one - dimensional way Jackman's character was written

For those who have seen it, what did y'all think about it and ur ratings for the cast?Kevinnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2457552600380761837.post-24554700341535323822015-03-26T04:50:42.342-04:002015-03-26T04:50:42.342-04:00Sorry for all the comments.
