Nevertheless I feel that Hackman does benefit from stronger material and sounder direction. Even past that I do find Hackman to bring even greater menace while mediating to an even greater effect with the more human qualities, in Little Bill's case his knowledge of what makes a man as well as his genuine wish to find justice even if it is his justice. I do think Malden, with the superior material of Unforgiven, though certainly could have come closer.

Robert: No, and since I was no fan of the first Amazing Spider-Man I'm not really in a rush to see a film that some lovers of the first one hate.

Luke:

Downey Jr - 3.5(A completely fine reprise, he did not really do all that much new, but since I liked what he did in the first one I liked him here as well)

Law - 3.5(Although I think he borders on lead in the first one he's definitely lead here as many scenes are from his perspective. Law again does well as the straight man to Downey)

Harris - 4(Harris is quite entertaining as he plays the part so properly suggesting the intelligence of the man, yet with such a delicious fiendish quality to suggest the evilness of him)

Michael:

Newman - 4.5
Gould - 4
Durning - 3.5
Walston - 3.5
Jones - 3
Brennan - 4Louis Morganhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07933180959140340196noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2457552600380761837.post-13635803617028378242014-06-01T18:14:05.836-04:002014-06-01T18:14:05.836-04:00What are your ratings for the cast of The Sting? What are your ratings for the cast of The Sting?Michael McCarthyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08683805466760495934noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2457552600380761837.post-15695197546989094962014-06-01T16:34:16.309-04:002014-06-01T16:34:16.309-04:00Louis: Ratings & thoughts on Downey Jr, Law an...Louis: Ratings & thoughts on Downey Jr, Law and Harris in Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows.Luke Highamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07075392435078135757noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2457552600380761837.post-58027356297749389842014-06-01T16:04:41.989-04:002014-06-01T16:04:41.989-04:00You see the new Spider-Man yet Louis? You see the new Spider-Man yet Louis?Robert MacFarlanehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17264501767985746886noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2457552600380761837.post-39054165031711939562014-06-01T12:03:48.091-04:002014-06-01T12:03:48.091-04:00Louis, what do you think makes Hackman's work ...Louis, what do you think makes Hackman's work in Unforgiven more stronger than Malden's in this? They both are very similar characters, both outlaws trying to redeem themselves.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
