Cancellation of The WACKY WORLD OF WISEAU

Cancellation of Wacky World of Wiseau. Yes it could barely survive a few days, but after attempting to get through Battlefield Earth, I've decided against proceeding with any more self-inflicted torture instead let's get to the good stuff the bonus rounds. Starting with:

1971 Lead.

I'm curious about 1971, since it's a very strong year already, I wonder how will the overall year turn out with these nominees added.

Alex: You haven't seen any of these performances?
Louis: Your top 10 performances that had the potential to be great but ended being bad.

Alex: Attenborough's #1 and I think Reed will be in the top 5.

I am very excited =D, my spreadsheet is finally completed, I am ready for every year =D.

I will rarely be suggesting any performances that are bad, the only two I can think of are ones that I think could be hidden gems from Anthony Franciosa and William Bendix.

RatedRStar: The Babe Ruth Story? Have you seen that? Poor Bendix.

Alex Marqués said...

Anonymous: No, I haven't, but I'll have to fix that.
Luke: I'm not surprised about Attenborough, he was terrific. My favourite from what I've seen is McDowell, though.

Hey Louis, what's your top-20 best performances of the 60s? Gender doesn't matter.

Luke Higham said...

Louis: Could you still review Cage and Voight, whenever you feel like it.

RatedRStar said...

I havent seen Ruth yet but I am very curious, how could an actor as good as William Bendix give a bad performance, I reckon he will actually be ok, I reckon it will be his costar that gets the Morgan roasting.

RatedRStar: Well, many good actors have their own mediocre movies, like poor Robert Mitchum. So, Bendix could get a 2 or something.

Al Pacino: The Panic in Needle Park
Paul Scofield: King Lear
George C. Scott: They Might Be Giants

Also nice list Louis, glad to see Kerr that high up and Hartman, and Courtenay on the list. Though personally I'd put Mifune in Yojimbo higher (just re-watched it today and I'm certain it's his greatest performance and not even close at that).

Louis: Like Heston's performance in Hamlet (1996), could Walken's performance in Pulp Fiction go up to a 4,5? He's easily a 4,5 for me.

Louis Morgan said...

Anonymous:

Yes probably.

Why don't you review female performances?
