RIP Peter, one of the last great actors, classics like you are sadly no longer here.

I was gonna rant about how pathetic it was for the academy to never award him for one of his eight fucking award nominations properly but ill not bover. Peter himself thought that the honorary was shit and he was right.

RIP to one of the greatest actors of all time. No actor today can match the charisma and sheer magnetism of O'Toole. He will be missed.

A truly great actor... And did deserve a statuette for "Lion in Winter". Shame that many of his Oscar nominated performances are a pain in the ass to get.

A man of great class and great talent.

I think, one of the reasons that Peter O Toole never won an Oscar, was because, after The Lion in Winter, he seemed to be the sole nomination from his films after that which may have stopped the academy from voting since films like The Ruling Class and Venus aren't that good really and O Toole was the only good thing in them.

Wow this hit me harder than I thought it would...well I don't care what he did or didn't win, the man had an exceptional career and everyone knows it.

R.I.P. Magnificent His role in Lawrence of Arabia, One of the top ten performances of all time, Male or Female

Louis, At this moment in time who do you think, will win best picture and Director

I think it will probably be between Twelve Years a Slave, American Hustle and Gravity. At the moment I would guess Gravity, and I never count on a director/picture split happening unless there is some obvious reason like there was last year.

I feel that The older members, will once again have a bias against a film like gravity, because it's a science fiction film, although the Clooney + Bullock Factor may buck that trend. I think it has a better chance for Cuaron but Personally, I'm really hoping that 12 years a slave, will win as I am a big fan of Mcqueen's work so far

Louis, what rating would you give Martin Freeman in The Hobbit, An Unexpected Journey

12 Years easily could win, but the only way Gravity is really science fiction is that it is a fictional story and the inaccuracies in the situation. It is meant to be a realistic film that takes place in space. It is much closer to the Best Picture nominees of The Right Stuff and Apollo 13 than the films usually considered science fiction.

I would give Freeman a 4.5.

Louis, did you like Gravity?

Yes I did, although I did not love it as much as many seem to.
