I'm still debating puting Waltz in leading or supporting on my own ballot.

Also: HAHA IN YOUR FACE PHOENIX HATERS.

Wow that was immature. Still, tough break. For you.

=) I am looking forward to the review of Joaquin Phoenix, I expect him to be destroyed.

I think Louis will love Phoenix, and he was tremendous. Im rooting for Hoffman or Waltz.

I've seen only Arkin and Hoffman (last week). The other three movies haven't yet been distribuited in Italy.
Of the two easy win for PSH. I liked Arkin, but isn't nothing special (I preferred Cranston in Argo).

I'm a little bit sad that Leo wasn't nomineted. One of these actors will return home with a second gold (third for DeNiro, but I don't think)

Hi!

1. Christoph Waltz
2. Philip Seymour Hoffman
3. Tommy Lee Jones
4. Alan Arkin
5. Robert De Niro

I have only seen Waltz and Jones so far. I would easily put either Samuel L. Jackson or Leonardo DiCaprio (or Javier Bardem) in Jones' place. Interesting nomination announcements, I must say. I'm very happy for Quvenzhané Wallis, I thought she was brilliant in Beasts, any thoughts on that? And Benh Zeitlin, while I'm very happy for him, but WTF? :D
This should be a very interesting Oscar night this year.

Aloha

Also, I just wanted to say that I really like the Jones nomination because he's an alumnus of my high school.

Waltz will win. Of the three I've seen, TLJ is probably my favorite. He's really growing on me just like his movie (save for DDL, I still don't get the fuss about him).

1.Waltz
2.Hoffman
3.TLJ
4.DeNiro
5.Arkin

Waltz' win for a fairly good performance over Hoffman's masterclass in 2012 is one of THE absolute dumbest wins of all time!!

Waltz' win for a fairly good performance over Hoffman's masterclass in 2012 is one of THE absolute dumbest decisions of all time!! The Master was just so ahead of it's time. Seeing some of these comments criticizing what are now regarded as arguably the best acting performances of the entire 2010s decade(Phoenix and Hoffman)is just laughable.
