What a great year lol as usual,

I loved Stewart and Mason, I think Mifune will win however, Seven Samurai is the greatest epic ever made and he is amazing in it, Milland was good, Laughton hams it up as usual which is fine.

Louis, are there any alternate actor or supporting years that you are stuggling/need help with, in terms of nominees as im sure everyone on the blog could help with suggestions on those years.

I have only seen Stewart and Mifune, and they are both great to me, but Stewart uses a lot of subtlety which you tend to prefer. Mifune was terrific, though.

Yeah Louis, RatedRStar is right. I could, and I would guess that several other people could as well, give you at least 5 alternate suggestions pretty much every year if you need them. I guess you could just ask for them/let us give them in the comments after each year's results, though I don't know how much it is that you were already going to do the 5 you choose vs. how much of the nominees come straight from our suggestions. But we could all help out if necessary.

You only have the '20s and the '30s left until you've done one year in each decade. I hope you do 1937.

RatedRStar and Michael: That is why I took Michael's suggestion to post the year at the results of the former year that way everyone who wishes to can name the performances they'd like to see reviewed.

I agree with Lezlie's ranking...

This sounds like an amazing year, for both the nominees here and the Academy's nominees!
