John Gielgud is the only one ive seen and he was quite good in a small role so he has to be my choice even though others may disagree with this opinion.

1.John Gielgud
2.Peter Ustinov
3.Lee Tracy
4.Stanley Holloway
5.Edmond O Brien

I have only seen Gielgud and Holloway - and they were both fine but not amazing.

I predict Ustinov.

Only one I've seen in Holloway, and I thought he was pretty good! Can you review him first?

I don't think I've seen Gielgud but of the others I think I'd go for Tracy who gave a memorable performance as the jaded Trumanesque ex-President in The Best Man.

I haven't seen these performances recently, so this is a wild guess:

1. Peter Ustinov
2. Stanley Holloway
3. Lee Tracy
4. John Gielgud
5. Edmond O'Brien

I would go with either Peter Ustinov or Lee Tracy

Stanley Holloway's numbers in My Fair Lady are all pretty memorable. I looove "With a Little Bit of Luck".

I'll be interested to hear about the rest of these little talked about nominees :)
